Craft Value-Packed Pitches with Strong Examples
For new UGC and nano-creators, the most effective way to pitch brands is with a concise, value-packed message that shows you understand both content and strategy. Start with a brief introduction that covers your niche, your content style, and what makes your work stand out. Then share one or two strong examples of UGC you've created, even if it's custom spec work.
Focus on how you can help the brand meet its goals. That might mean increasing engagement, creating scroll-stopping visuals, or bringing a relatable voice to their product. Brands care more about content quality and alignment than follower count, especially when working with UGC creators.
Include a link to your media kit so they can easily browse your work, past projects, and key stats in one place. Wrap up your pitch with a clear next step, like offering to create a custom sample or hop on a quick call to discuss ideas.
All you need is clarity, confidence, and content that speaks for itself.

Demonstrate Value Through Personalized Content Samples
The most effective approach is to skip the generic "Hey, I love your brand" and go straight into demonstrating value. Show what you can create by sending a short, brand-relevant sample. Make it feel like it already belongs on their feed. Keep it short, visual, and personalized. This strategy works far better than a long pitch with no proof.

Leverage AI for Targeted Brand Pitches
I leverage generative AI to help research brands to pitch and craft a compelling pitch. For example, as the GenX Glamping Guy, I create product evaluations for brands catering to affluent Millennials, GenX, and Boomer Airstream owners. I typically identify my own needs while glamping in my Airstream. I test out the pain points on various forums to see if others share in the pain point. I can then quickly map out a brand's product offerings and align them to the target audience's needs. What is it about Dometic's coolers that makes them appealing to glampers? Why would someone upgrade to a Torklift step system for Airstreams? Which Brooklyn Bedding RV mattress is the best for Airstreamers with back issues?
I then brainstorm several content and campaign ideas that benefit the target audience and the brand. Using AI, I summarize the who, what, when, where, and why. I export as a pitch and edit, edit, edit. Then, I identify the correct employee within the brand to reach. I connect with them on LinkedIn and send an email with my pitch.
